 The cover of the pad features an illustration of a Kaka. Of relatively ancient origin, the Kaka is a large parrot with no close links to other world parrots. Their amusing antics and raucous voice led the Maori to refer to them as chatttering and gossiping. Kaka have a brush tongue to take nectar from flowers and therefore play an important role in the forest pollinating flowers
